3 Ways to Use Social Media to Grow Your Holistic Business

3 ways to use social media to grow your holistic businessAre you using social media to grow your holistic business? More specifically, are you using social media in a strategic way to attract more clients to your practice? Social media sites can be an excellent source of new prospects and clients, but can also be a huge waste of time and effort if you aren’t doing it right. Here are a few ways to use social media in a positive, heart-centered business building manner.

Be Intentional
It is so easy to get distracted by all the fun and interesting things being posted by your friends on social sites,  I know how that is! You jump on a site to post something and before you know it you are clicking and clicking away on everyone else’s stuff – and while that might be fun, it isn’t doing a lot to help you attract clients – so it is up to you to set limits for yourself.

The solution is to be intentional about your social media use. Schedule specific times when you will use social websites for business purposes and stick to it. Use that time to post your own content and links, to participate in relevant conversations, and to write and reply to business related messages. The more intentional you are about your social media use, the better results you will get from the time you spend.

Be Relevant
When using social media to promote yourself or your holistic business it is important to keep the majority of your postings relevant to you and your field of expertise. The biggest problem most people have on social sites is separating their personal lives from their business presence online. This is especially true on the bigger sites like Facebook, where your personal profile is an integral part of what people see. The idea is that you want to think about the image you are projecting to prospective clients and customers. Is the image they are perceiving in alignment with how you want them to see you and your business?

While there is nothing wrong with sharing your interests with your online community, the main focus of what you post and share and comment on should be related in some way to what you do and what solutions you offer. That is how the people who need you and your unique talents will be able to find you.

Be Consistent
The best way to maximize your use of social media to grow your business is to be consistent in the way you post. It is important to post on a regular basis. Of course you don’t want to over do it, and post so much stuff that you drive people away, but you also don’t want to post too infrequently either. Do that and they forget about you or see you as an inconsistent person. The key is to find a middle ground that keeps you in front of your prospects.

Remember, people don’t buy from strangers, they buy from people they know, like, and trust. Each posting you make, each comment you leave, each link you share back to your resources, all help people know you, like you, and trust you – and when that happens, they’ll be much more likely to choose you if you have the solution to their problem.

Put It All Together
Each of these three strategies, being intentional, being relevant, and being consistent, will help you get the greatest benefit out of the time you invest in using social media to grow your holistic business – or any business for that matter.  Social sites can be a great source of new clients or customers, but only if those prospective clients and customers perceive you as the solution to their problems. So get strategic about your social media use and you too can begin attracting an abundance of new clients and customers to your business.

How to Grow Your Holistic Business Quickly

Growing Your Holisitic Business QuicklyAs a heart-centered practitioner, you want to grow your holistic practice quickly, but you don’t ever want to seem pushy or ‘sales-y’ as you try to attract new clients into your business. It can be hard to align yourself and your sacred work with things like ‘selling’ and ‘marketing’ and all the other things that traditional businesses use to grow and make money. That is one of the major reasons that so many holistic practitioners struggle to get their business to the level that they want. But it doesn’t have to be that way. I want to share with you the number one way that you can grow your practice while being true to your beliefs and remaining heart-centered in your approach.

Shall we dive into it?

Great!

The #1 Way to Grow Your Holistic Business Quickly

So what is the number one way to grow your holistic business quickly?

Have a clear and empowering vision of your future!

This is absolutely the starting point of everything. In fact, having a clear and empowering vision of your future is so important that it is the first step of my Growing Your Holistic Business System™. You have to know precisely what you want your business to provide for you. How much time do you want to spend working on your practice? How much money do you want to make? How many clients do you want to have? These are the types of questions you must ask yourself and get clear answers about, because without a clear intention, your practice will never provide you the levels of freedom and abundance that you desire.

Where would you like to see your practice 6 months from now? A year from now? What would have to change in your business and in your life in order for that to happen? Unfortunately, I see far too many holistic practitioners who are struggling because they haven’t DECIDED what they really want out of their business.

Which is surprising, because most – if not all – of the modalities that fall under the holistic umbrella incorporate the principles of manifesting, the law of attraction, and the power of having clear intentions in some way or another.

In your practice, you most likely set clear intentions about the results and transformations that you bring to your clients. You might even help your clients set clear intentions about the results they receive.

Your business is no different. It is simply an extension of yourself, and your expectations about your business will have a lot to do with its success. If your expectations for your business are small or uncertain, I can almost promise you that the results you are getting are also small and uncertain.

Getting clear about what you want out of your holistic practice sets the groundwork for your ultimate success. Once you know what and where you want to go, you can figure out how to get there. You don’t try to plan your route before you choose your destination, do you? Of course not. You decide where you want to go, then you figure out how to get there.

Put it into Action!

If you want to grow your holistic business quickly then you must create a clear vision of what you really want your practice to look like. Think about your business and what you really want from it. How much time do you work? How much money do you make? How many ideal clients do you have? Do you work from home or an office? Do you travel? The more details you decide on, the clearer your intention becomes, so use your imagination. Dream a little. Dream a lot! If everything went your way, (and it can!) what would that look like?

Take a few minutes and put this all down on paper. When you are done you will have a sort of vision statement that details exactly where you and your business are headed. Keep this paper out on your desk where you will see it often. This will help you keep your intentions focused. Life is full of distractions and it is easy to lose sight of the big picture.

With a clear intention your business will be empowered to grow and prosper to whatever level you desire. It doesn’t matter whether you want to make an extra $500 a month to help with the bills, or you want to make $5,000 a month to replace your J-O-B, the clearer your vision, the quicker and easier your journey will be.
